The Welshman’s inclusion means Rodrigo Bentancur will drop from ‘mezz’ala’ to ‘regista’, playing in front of the back four.

Elsewhere, Danilo will replace Blaise Matuidi at left-back, with the midfielder back to partnering Ramsey and Bentancur in the middle.

Genoa, meanwhile, are likely to go with two up top in Iago Falque and Antonio Sanabria.

Although Domenico Criscito and Ivan Radovanovic are injured, ex-Juve trio Mattia Perin, Stefano Sturaro and Cristian Romero will face their former team.

Genoa (probable): Perin; Romero, Souamoro, Zapata; Biraschi, Sturaro, Schone, Behrami, Barecca; Iago Falque, Sanabria

Juventus (probable): Szczesny; Cuadrado, Bonucci, De Ligt, Danilo; Ramsey, Bentancur, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Dybala, Ronaldo
