Balotelli has been frozen out since the restart after falling out with Brescia owner Massimo Cellino.

This morning, it was confirmed the Rondinelle had exercised their right to withdraw the 29-year-old from his contract.

The former Inter and Milan hitman signed a three-year deal with his hometown side last summer, but it contained an exit clause if they were relegated from Serie A.

That looks to be a certainty as they are eight points adrift of safety with 10 games remaining.

Balotelli was absent from Brescia training yesterday, although that is because the club chose to exclude him.

He played 19 top-flight matches for the Biancazzurri, scoring five goals.
