Zinedine Zidane has discussed Real Madrid’s decision to sell Achraf Hakimi to Inter. ‘There are two sides to consider: the economic one and sporting one.’
Hakimi has spent the last two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and applied the finishing touches to his €45m Inter transfer yesterday.
The move has concerned some Madrid fans, given his potential and versatility, but Zidane believes both parties stand to benefit.
“Hakimi is ours, but anything can happen from this point on,” the coach said at a press conference.
“He’s had a good season, but at this club there are two sides to consider: the economic one and sporting one.
“Now isn’t the time to talk about him. Things may happen soon, but I’m talking about the sporting side of things.
“I’m interested in Achraf’s situation, but it’s something for the club to decide. There’s a club, a player and a coach involved.
“Decisions end up being made it and that’s it.”
