Former Milan striker Olivier Bierhoff has claimed it will be interesting to see if Ralf Rangnick and Zlatan Ibrahimovic get along. ‘They’re two strong personalities with clear ideas’.
The former striker and current director of the German national team spoke to the Gazzetta dello Sport about the arrival of Rangnick and what it could mean for Zlatan’s future at San Siro.
“Rangnick likes the game of the younger players,” Bierhoff said. “The aggressive, quick play, with a lot of pressing.
“Ibra has to see how much he desire he has left. They are two strong personalities with clear ideas, it remains to be seen how well they can get on together.
“Ibrahimovic has incredible qualities. Physically he can continue, but the head is another thing. I realised I no longer had what it takes to give my all.
“He has more natural talent than me. But if Rangnick arrives, he must be assessed. He’s a concrete guy, clear. If someone doesn’t follow his plan, he’s out. It will be interesting to see two great personalities come together.”
