Milan have announced that Samu Castillejo has suffered a first-degree hamstring injury and must undergo further tests in a week.

The Rossoneri have confirmed the winger, who reported the problem during a 2-2 draw against SPAL in Ferrara, has undergone scans to determine the extent of the problem.

The Spanish winger has officially suffered a first-degree injury to the right hamstring muscle and is subject to a new analysis next week.

The former Villarreal man, who arrived at San Siro in August 2018, har established himself in the starting line-up under Stefano Pioli.

So far, the right winger has racked up 19 appearances in Serie A, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.

Whilst Castillejo waits for his test in seven days, Milan look set to cope without him against Lazio and Juventus in their next two games.
