“On a personal level, it’s an important day for me, as I am marking my 400th official appearance in a Juventus jersey,” Bonucci told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a source of immense pride that I can take my place in the very select group who reached that figure. It repays me for the years of sacrifices, of objectives achieved and dreams I’ve had since childhood.

“There will be little room for emotion, though, as our objective now is to keep winning so we can secure the Scudetto.”

Bonucci’s son Lorenzo went viral a couple of years ago, as the little boy is the outlier in his family by supporting their arch-rivals Torino.

“I spoke to him on the phone a few minutes ago, he’s at the seaside with his mother, happy to be there. He said that he’ll watch the game later and urged me to be a good boy. I don’t know entirely what that means!”
