“What we need to beat Inter is for us to put in an almost perfect performance and for them to be on an off day,” warns Mihajlovic in his press conference.

“We’ll go there knowing full well that Inter are a stronger team, but football is wonderful precisely because you never know what might happen. We’re aware of their strength, but can also cause any opponent problems.

“The lads are physically in good shape, but we need to play the ball better. We deserved to win against Cagliari midweek and were superior in every way, but unfortunately, we were unable to make it count with goals. Details make all the difference, such as on concentration, marking and everything else.”

Barrow has been on spectacular form since the lockdown, churning out goals and assists.

“A coach must find the right approach for every player to get the best out of him, as it’s like with children, they aren’t all the same,” added Mihajlovic.

“Our work also is to understand our players and help them to flourish. I often speak to Barrow, and if he were to improve a few issues with his personality, then he could make the difference in any team.

“As a coach, you try the nice way, then you try the nasty way, and when you’ve tried everything, you sell him and get someone else. We have to try everything first, but these are all intelligent lads here at Bologna and I don’t think there will be problems.

“Over the next few weeks, I’ll see why really belongs at Bologna next season as well.”
