Leiva and Ibra start Lazio-Milan?

There are growing reports Lucas Leiva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be in the starting XI when Lazio and Milan face off this evening.

It kicks off at 20.45 UK time (19.45 GMT), you can follow the build-up and action as it happens from all today’s Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

Lazio are without Capocannoniere Ciro Immobile and his natural replacement Felipe Caicedo, as both sit out bans, with Bobby Adekanye, Luiz Felipe, Adam Marusic and Senad Lulic injured.

Lucas Leiva was named in the squad this morning, meaning he has made a full recovery after undergoing knee surgery on April 4.

There are now growing reports the 33-year-old will be in the starting XI, as Danilo Cataldi is still struggling with an ankle issue, while Luis Alberto is moved to a more advanced role in support of lone striker Joaquin Correa.

Milan could also pull a surprise, as Ibrahimovic made his comeback off the bench in the 2-2 draw with SPAL midweek, having picked up a calf strain just after returning from the lockdown.

It’s rumoured Ibra could be in the starting XI tonight instead of Ante Rebic, with Alexis Saelemaekers pushing Giacomo Bonaventura for the role replacing injured Samu Castillejo.

Lucas Paqueta impressed with SPAL and could retain his place, with Simon Kjaer probably back in the starting XI for Matteo Gabbia.

Probable line-ups

Lazio (3-5-1-1): Strakosha; Patric, Acerbi, Radu; Lazzari, Parolo, Leiva, Luis Alberto, Jony; Milinkovic-Savic; Correa

Milan (4-2-3-1): G Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Paqueta, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic
