“It was a great performance, which we needed after the defeat to Atalanta in Bergamo. This was the right response and we must continue like this,” Insigne told Sky Sport Italia.
Napoli have already secured their Europa League qualification after winning the Coppa Italia, but the team is transformed since Gattuso replaced Carlo Ancelotti in December.
“We know that we didn’t do our best at the start of the season, but since the coach arrived we’ve been on the right track and so we’re preparing to start from scratch next term with him.
“Aside from the system, the coach immediately made me feel important, put his faith in me, and we are all trying to help out both in attack and defence.”
