Milan will reportedly sign a three-year contract with Ralf Rangnick, but the German director has rejected the reports suggesting he has agreed terms with the Rossoneri.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims CEO Ivan Gazidis has entrusted Rangnick with a manager role at San Siro for the next three years.
The German can decide to start as the technical director in his first year at Milanello but the newspaper insists it’s more likely to see him enter the dugout straight away.
However, the current head of development at Red Bull was approached by Sport1 asking if his move to Milan was a done deal and the former Schalke and RB Leipzig coach replied with a solitary 'no' to the reporter.
But even the German outlet claims Rangnick will leave the Red Bull project in August and start a new chapter in Via Aldo Rossi.
Stefano Pioli has done well to turn Milan’s season around this term and the Diavolo are currently fighting for a place in Europe next season, two points behind fifth-placed Roma in Serie A.
