Milan Skriniar is struggling to fit into Antonio Conte’s three-man defence, so there are reports Inter could sell him, as Manchester City and Manchester United await.
The 25-year-old Slovakia international was signed from Sampdoria for €34m in the summer of 2017 and his value has only climbed since then.
He is under contract until June 2023 and the Nerazzurri were adamant in rejecting approaches from Premier League clubs.
However, it has become evident this season that Skriniar does not work well within Conte’s three-man defence.
He was skinned at the by-line by Darko Lazovic within two minutes of last night’s 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it has prompted Inter to reconsider their position on Skriniar, so he could now be sold for the right price.
That money would then be spent on a defender more suited to Conte’s particular tactical approach.
Diego Godin has also found it difficult to adapt and fell down the pecking order behind Alessandro Bastoni and Danilo D’Ambrosio.
The Uruguayan veteran arrived as a free agent from Atletico Madrid this term.
