Piero Giacomelli has been assigned to the top of the table showdown between Juventus and Atalanta, as referees are named for Saturday’s Serie A games.
Atalanta could move to within six points of the leaders with a victory in Turin, having already won nine on the bounce.
Giacomelli will officiate Juventus-Atalanta, with Massimiliano Irrati in the VAR booth.
The 42-year-old has already overseen a tense 2-2 draw between Atalanta and Napoli this season, meaning his record with La Dea is of eight wins, four draws and five defeats.
Juventus have never lost a game with Giacomelli, as he officiated 12 wins and a single stalemate.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Marco Di Bello has been assigned to Lazio-Sassuolo, with Gianluca Aureliano as the VAR.
Brescia-Roma will be under the guidance of Gianpaolo Calvarese, with support from VAR Gianluca Manganiello.
