Sevilla sporting director Monchi has claimed ‘it’s difficult to think about anything else’ than the match against Roma in the Europa League.

Sevilla sit fourth in La Liga, six points clear of Villarreal at fifth and with only three games remaining of the Spanish season.

Even if the Palanganas have yet to confirm their place in the Champions League next term, Monchi can’t take his eyes away from the match against his former club in the last 16 of the Europa League.

“Europa League has become a complex competition, there are big teams and it will be difficult to reach the Final.

Roma are special to Monchi, after having spent two seasons with the Giallorossi before returning to Andalusia.

“I know them very well; they have made changes and it till wake a lot on our part. They have a good team and a great history.

“They will be demanding opponents.”
