Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has been targeted by the two Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, reportedly prompting the Partneopei to offer him a new five-year contract.
Journalist Nicolò Schira claims the Spanish midfielder looks set to remain at the San Paolo, as his current contract negotiations are heading in the right direction for the Azzurri.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have not hidden the fact that the Spain international is an interesting target this summer, with the former Real Betis man continuing to impress for the Partenopei.
But the report claims patron Aurelio De Laurentiis has offered the 24-year-old new terms in Naples, worth €3.2m a season until June 2025.
The new deal will include a massive release clause to fend off possible suitors in the future and Schira writes the midfielder is close to putting his signature down for five new years in Serie A.
