Borja Valero is reportedly on his way towards earning a new Inter contract after battling back into Antonio Conte’s plans.
Valero’s Inter career seemed to be over, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season and Conte preferring other options in central midfield.
However, the 35-year-old has featured in every game since lockdown was lifted, starting three of them.
Now, Gazzetta dello Sport claims his ‘commitment, professionalism and general conduct’ has been noticed by the coach, as well as his ability to follow tactical instructions.
Therefore, the newspaper writes it is possible the Spaniard will be offered a new contract, taking him through to 2021.
Valero has made 22 appearances for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring three goals.
