Lozano’s Napoli career seemed to be all-but-over after Gennaro Gattuso ejected him from a training session, amidst a lack of game time.

Although he has not started a league game since December 7, the Mexico forward has made an impact off the substitutes’ bench of late, scoring against Verona and Genoa.

He is now expected to be one of the Partenopei’s front three at Bologna, alongside Arkadiusz Milik and Matteo Politano, with Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens rested.

In defence, Kostas Manolas should be reinstated at the expense of Kalidou Koulibaly after missing the 2-2 draw with Milan.

Bologna, meanwhile, are without centre-back Mattia Bani, but Andreas Skov Olsen is set to take Riccardo Orsolini’s spot on the right wing.

Bologna (probable): Skorupski; Mbaye, Danilo, Tomiyasu, Dijks; Soriano, Medel, Dominguez; Skov Olsen, Palacio, Barrow

Napoli (probable): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Maksimovic, Maolas, Hysaj; Elmas, Demme, Zielinski; Politano, Milik, Lozano
