Roma could have a new kit-maker from 2021 onwards after announcing the ‘premature termination’ of their partnership with Nike.
Nike replaced Kappa as Roma’s technical sponsor from the 2013-14 campaign, with both parties agreeing to a 10-year deal at the time.
However, the decision has been made for their partnership to end three years early so the Giallorossi can ‘explore new opportunites’.
“The early termination of the commercial agreement will allow AS Roma to explore new opportunities in the equipment and licensing space,” chief operating officer Francesco Calvo told his club’s official website.
In the meantime, a separate agreement has been struck for the sportswear giant to supply Roma’s apparel next season.
