Roma are expected to sell defender William Bianda to Belgian side Zulte Waregem, on loan with obligation to buy after a certain number of games.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, a deal has been done and Zulte Waregem will pay €0.5m of his salary during a season-long loan.
Once he hits the fight number of appearances, the contract will automatically transform into a purchase for €5m.
Bianda was something of a complete mystery to Roma fans, as he was purchased from Lens two years ago for €6.5m plus 15 per cent sell-on fee.
However, the Monchi signing barely featured in a Giallorossi jersey, even at youth level.
The 20-year-old struggled for playing time due to poor form and injuries.
