Sinisa Mihajlovic has declared that Bologna are ‘no-one’s sparring partner’, demanding ‘we play our remaining games with rage’.
Mihajlovic was furious with Bologna after their 5-1 defeat to Milan, and he made it clear he would not entertain a similar performance from his players against Atalanta tomorrow.
“We must play our remaining games with rage, as if we’d received the jeers we deserved,” he said at a press conference.

“We must play our remaining games with rage, as if we’d received the jeers we deserved,” he said at a press conference.
“This is a happy place for us, but it must be earned. As far as the future is concerned, there’s no division between the club I over plans for next season.
“Of course, every coach would like a club able to satisfy all their requests, but I know the its plans to grow and I’m in agreement with them.
“Our objective must be to improve every year and fill the gaps: that doesn’t necessarily mean qualifying for Europe, but rather making the team competitive.
“With the right signings and young players, we aim to grow and improve our position in the table.
“Europe can become a target for us If we do things well, but time, work and desire are needed.
“The lads know that losing like we did against Milan ingrates on me: I don’t like being anyone’s sparring partner.
“I want more from every player who wears the Bologna jersey, above all out of respect for our fans.
“We have a fair and passionate fan base, who applaud us if we win and don’t turn on us if we lose.
“The players must work for this attitude. If a 5-1 defeat happened elsewhere, it all could’ve gone off.”
Despite his protestations, the Serb admitted his side were travelling to face ‘the best team in Italy’.
“In my opinion, Atalanta are currently the best team in Italy. I have to change something, playing every three days.
“I’l do that tomorrow, hoping that things will get better.”
