Both teams hit the woodwork in the first half, with Alex Sandro’s header and an Immobile strike, but the deadlock was broken from the spot after Bastos clumsily charged down a Ronaldo effort with his arm.
Moments later, Paulo Dybala pounced on a Luiz Felipe error and generously rolled it across for Ronaldo’s 30th Serie A goal of the season.
That had put him top of the Capocannoniere charts, but Immobile caught him up again by earning and converting a penalty of his own, surprising Leonardo Bonucci.
