Milan are reportedly stepping up their interest in Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer but will face competition from Leicester City.
The Rossoneri have been linked with the Norwegian centre-back in recent weeks and Sky Sport Italia confirms the interest from the Diavolo.
In May, reports in Italy suggested Milan were in advanced talks with the Norway international and the former IK Start player continues to be linked with a San Siro move.
But the broadcaster claims the 22-year-old’s former coach Brendan Rodgers has not given up on bringing his former pupil to the Premier League.
Rodgers, who is now in charge of Leicester, will fight Milan for his signature. Ajer, capped 14 times by Norway, can also be used as a defensive midfielder and at right-back.
