Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has revealed he met with Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘last week’ but insists the Serie B side won’t be able to sign the veteran.
The Swede returned to Milan in January and helped turn the Diavolo’s season around, but he has yet to extend with the Rossoneri and the 38-year-old’s future is being widely discussed in Italian media.
Monza were promoted to Serie B and the former Milan CEO Galliani spoke of Ibra to Binario Sport.
“I met with Ibrahimovic last week,” he said. “There’s still a great bond between us, but his salary is out of our reach.
“I think his wages are out of many Serie A clubs’ reach too.”
Bologna were linked with the former Sweden international in January and have been tipped to try again this summer.
