UEFA board member Evelina Christillin confirms if the COVID-19 situation in Barcelona gets worse, Napoli could play their Champions League tie in Portugal.
The first leg in this Round of 16 ended 1-1 at the Stadio San Paolo in February and the decider is set to be played behind closed doors at Camp Nou on August 8.
However, with Coronavirus cases spiking in Spain and particularly in the Barcelona area, the venue is in doubt.
“Guimaraes and Oporto have been prepared as Plan B for some time, and are options for other difficult situations too,” UEFA board member Christillin told Radio Punto Nuovo.
“For the moment, the decision remains to play at Camp Nou. I don’t know what the deadline is, but I do know what Plan B is, so the decision will be made based on advice from the Spanish Government.”
The Champions League Final Eight will be played entirely in Portugal, spread between the two stadiums in Lisbon.
