Lazio in talks with David Silva

Lazio are reportedly in talks for Manchester City veteran David Silva, who is available on a free transfer, according to Italian and Spanish sources.

AS suggest he is in talks with the Biancocelesti, while Italian rumours claim Silva had dinner with Lazio director of sport Igli Tare.

The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season after 10 years in Manchester.

He contributed six goals and 11 assists in 38 competitive appearances this term and has also been linked with clubs in Dubai, specifically Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai and Al-Nasr Dubai.

There are also options in MLS with Inter Miami or a return to his old club Valencia.

However, Lazio would offer Serie A football as well as a place in the Champions League, having secured a top four finish.

David Silva would join fellow Spanish creative midfielder Luis Alberto, winger Jony and defender Patric.
