“This is an important match, it’s the penultimate round and we want to end the season on a high,” the defender told Lazio Style Channel.

“Our philosophy is to fight until the final whistle for our club colours. The objective right now is to finish second.”

Inter and Atalanta both won last night, so Lazio need a victory to stay one point off second, then hope to take advantage when the other two contenders go head-to-head in the final round.

“I have matured over the last few years, as I knew that I had potential, but I am happy in this tactical role and have learned a great deal.

“I want to keep getting stronger, but I’m happy that the fans have already noticed my improvements.”
