The rest of the Sevilla squad have tested negative and return to individual training one day after the Andalusians confirmed a first-team member had contracted COVID-19.
Roma’s Europa League opponents communicated a positive test yesterday and later it was revealed that the infected player was Serbian midfielder Nemanja Gudelj.
Gudelj’s swab tests came back positive and the midfielder will remain in isolation whilst the team return to train individually.
New tests will be carried out today, on Saturday and on Monday.
Roma face the Andalusians on neutral turf in Duisburg, Germany on August 6. The two teams fight for a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
