Atalanta defender Jose Luis Palomino will not be risked ahead of the return to Champions League and will sit out against Inter on Saturday night.
The Argentine defender picked up an adductor injury in the last match against Parma, but La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the injury is not serious and he should be able to play the next game.
Atalante fight for second with the Beneamata and a win would see them leapfrog their rivals, but the newspaper writes that coach Gian Piero Gasperini has one eye on the match against Paris Saint-Germain in Europe next month.
The Orobici coach will not risk aggravating the 30-year-old’s problem before the quarter-finals on August 12 and the centre-back will therefore miss the last fixture in Serie A 2019-20.
