Coach Sefano Pioli has encouraged Milan to ‘do even better’ in 2020-21 and admits it’s ‘sad the season is over’ ahead of their last game against Cagliari.
The 54-year-old replaced Marco Giampaolo in October and was confirmed to continue next season after having lifter the Rossoneri to sixth in Serie A.
Pioli’s men are currently on an unbeaten run of 11 games in the League and the coach hopes the positive trend will continue next year.
“I’m sad the season is over,” Pioli said at a press conference. “The lads have given everything and need to rest.
“There’s a great harmony between us, there’s the desire to work and this gratifies our job. I’m sure that I will find the same atmosphere when we start again.
“We have created a beautiful family, the dinner last night at Milanello proves it. Even if we have done so much, we must do even better.
“Milan must fight for the top positions; we have to develop even further.”
Milan finish the campaign at San Siro against Cagliari tomorrow.
