“I hope it’ll be a great game. We will be playing open and attacking football, with no calculations,” assured Conte on Inter TV.

“Atalanta are a team who have become a consolidated figure in the top four of Italian football and have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League. It’ll be a struggle, they’ll make us suffer, so our objective is to make them suffer too.”

It was pointed out that the fight for second is also between top scorers Atalanta and best defence at Inter.

“I always think it’s important to have a good balance between attack and defence. Atalanta scored many goals, finding the net in over 20 consecutive rounds, so deserve a lot of credit for that. We have the best defensive record and the second best attack.

“It is also important for the team to get accustomed to playing with the pressure of teams pushing up behind you and wanting to overtake you. The game with Napoli was wonderful, because we played it in the right way, with focus and determination.

“Now we want to end the season on a high, measure ourselves up and see how far we’ve come.”
