Franck Ribery is ‘happy’ that Fiorentina have confirmed coach Beppe Iachini for next season, but ‘we need to improve things and bring in new players.’

The World Cup winner spoke to TGR Rai Toscana at a bar where he has breakfast every morning, assuring the burglary scare will not push him away from the club or city.

“Florence is a beautiful city that I really like. I’m happy here and that’s important to me,” said Ribery.

The Viola are looking to the future too, having announced coach Iachini will remain in his role for next season.

“I am happy for him and the squad. He deserves it, as he’s done a good job with us. I think it’s a positive move,” added Ribery.

“The important thing is that we continue developing the project so the club can keep growing. We need to improve a few things a bring in new players thinking towards next year.”
