“We thank the President Andrea Agnelli, who is always with us and therefore in the best position to judge our work. He is always there to provide support, in the training ground as well as the boardroom, and we must thank him for all these years of great passion and closeness,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

There were reports again today that Sarri could still be dismissed if Juve don’t get past the Champions League Round of 16 with Lyon.

“One match cannot change the way a season is judged. Winning a Scudetto is always extraordinary, although often we forget that nine years in a row is something unthinkable, especially when I arrived here 10 years ago with the President. If people had told us then, we’d have thought they were crazy.

“So let’s begin to appreciate the results we achieved this season, which as the President said, were earned with a tough slog, perhaps tougher than usual due to the many changes and the pandemic.

“Speaking of which, I want to thank the Lega Serie A for allowing us all to conclude the season in the best possible way and experience a little bit of normality again.”

Paratici was also asked about the reports of Juventus interest in Nicolò Zaniolo, who starts for Roma tonight.

“Zaniolo is an excellent player, you don’t have to be a director of sport to realise that. In any case, let’s focus on celebrating the Scudetto this evening, although it’s disappointing that we can’t do it with our fans. After that, we have the Lyon game, and then the transfer market can wait.”
