There are mixed reports today on the extent of the injury, which will not realistically be known until after he has tests on Monday.

Some sources point towards a suspected thigh strain, which would keep Insigne out for four to six weeks, effectively ending his season even if Napoli reached the Champions League Final.

Others are more reassuring, suggesting there is a knock to the bone where the thigh tendon connects, so it is a bruise rather than a muscular strain or tear.
