There were multiple reports this morning that Giampaolo agreed a two-year deal to replace Moreno Longo, although first he must terminate his contract with Milan.

“Giampaolo is certainly a coach that we really like and an excellent tactician. He is currently under contract with another club, so it wouldn’t be right to say too much about it,” Vagnati told Sky Sport Italia when asked outright if Giampaolo will be the new Torino boss.

“Let’s just say he is a coach we admire very much.”

Longo’s final game on the Granata bench will be this evening against Bologna.
