Dybala named Serie A's MVP

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has been named the MVP by Serie A, after the League announced their ranking of the best players of 2019-20.

“The performance measurement is based on the official stats of Lega Serie A, which represents the objective scientific criterion of the best of this season,” CEO of Serie A Luigi De Siervo explained.

“We managed to conclude with great determination, overcoming infinite difficulties. It was an anomalous year, with a compressed ending, but these players managed to demonstrate their talent in all the matches played, illuminating our competition with great performances.

“Our heartfelt thanks go to them and all the other athletes for their professionalism, commitment and sacrifices.”

Young Player of the Season: Dejan Kulusevski (Parma)

Best Forward of the Season: Ciro Immobile (Lazio)

Best Midfielder of the Season: Alejandro Gomez (Atalanta)

Best Defender of the Season: Stefan de Vrij (Inter)

Best Goalkeeper of the Season: Wojciech Szczesny (Juventus)
