“Since I arrived, Caqueret has started 50 per cent of our matches,” Garcia told RMC Sport.

“He thinks for the team, plays for the team, he is starting to mature in his tackling and gives us more technical quality in the middle of the park.”

The Lyon coach made another surprising change to his expected starting XI, leaving Dembele on the bench for Karl Toko Ekambi.

“In order to have more pace upfront, I preferred to combine the pace of Memphis Depay with the off the ball movement of Karl.”
