Chievo have the upper hand after winning the first leg of the Serie B promotion play-off semi-final 2-0 against Spezia and parrying another penalty.

It took all of nine minutes for the Flying Donkeys to take the comfortable lead, as Filip Djordjevic opened the scoring from a corner, quickly followed by Jacopo Segre firing in the Joel Obi assist.

Just as in the preliminary round of the play-offs, Chievo goalkeeper Adrian Semper was decisive by saving a penalty, this time from Matteo Ricci after Emmanuel Gyasi was brought down.
