Lazio forward Ciro Immobile has been impressed by Simone Inzaghi’s development as a coach and said the tactician has a ‘certainty that convinces’ the Aquile.
Inzaghi took over as caretaker at Lazio in April 2016 but was swiftly confirmed as the permanent coach at the Olimpico.
The Biancocelesti have won the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana with Inzaghi at the helm and were involved in the Scudetto battle in 2019-20, eventually finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League.
Immobile has praised the former Primavera coach and said he has ‘created a beautiful group’ at Formello.
“He’s developed in an impressive way. He went through all the intermediate stages from player-coach to the accomplished coach,” Immobile told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“We have always listened to him, but in recent times he expresses a certainty that convinces, he knows how to change between dialogue and reprimand, he never mistakes the tone of voice.
“The players are ugly beasts sometimes. Simone and the club have created a beautiful group, there area a couple of people who take care of us every day, take care of the delicate relationships, don’t leave any details out.”
