La Dea are the only Italian team remaining in the Champions League and face Paris Saint-Germain in the last eight tomorrow night.

The Dutch midfielder thinks Atalanta have proved they can fight ‘against the biggest teams’ and looks forward to an ‘important match’ in Lisbon.

“I think it’s a very important match for everyone: for the players, for the city, for the province, for Italy,” De Roon said at a press conference.

“We prepared like for every game – we shouldn’t change a lot. It’s a game like all others but has more importance.

“A quarter-final in the Champions League is a dream, a dream for so many players.

“We know that we can play against the biggest teams. We’ve done it in Italy, in Europe.

“Against Paris it’ll be even more, with players like Neymar, [Kylian] Mbappe and Thiago Silva, who’ve played for 10 years at this level. We are ready.”
