According to Il Tempo newspaper, Dan Friedkin and not his son Ryan will be the new President of AS Roma as of Monday.
The takeover from James Pallotta is on track to be completed on August 17, at which point a new Board of Directors will also be put in place.
It had been assumed for months that Ryan Friedkin would be installed as President, move to Italy and be a more hands-on presence in the day to day running of the club.
Now Il Tempo claims Dan Friedkin himself will be named President, but that Ryan will nonetheless be the one staying in Italy.
In fact, AS Roma Press maintain Ryan Friedkin has already been in Europe for almost three weeks, so does not require a self-isolation period due to COVID-19 restrictions.
He can therefore be present at the announcement in Rome on Monday.
Other members of the Board of Directors are reported to be Marc Watts, Eric Felen Wiliamson III, Brian Walker and Analaura Moreira Dunkel.
A seventh figure could well be Alessandro Barnaba, a Roman banker who worked with Friedkin in the negotiations for the takeover.
