According to multiple reports, there is still a significant gap between Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s salary demands and the Milan offer, but they are confident of bridging it.
Sportmediaset and La Gazzetta dello Sport claim the salary being proposed is worth €6m per year, including various bonuses, whereas the 39-year-old striker is asking for closer to €7.5m.
Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio maintains there is still a large gap, but that both parties are eager to continue together following his January arrival.
They still both hope to resolve the remaining details and reach an agreement to extend his contract.
Despite only joining from the LA Galaxy in January as a free agent, Ibra still ended up as Milan’s Serie A top scorer with 10 goals in 18 games.
