The Denmark international and Victor Moses spoke to InterNews about the retreat in Germany and the Final in Cologne this Friday.
“Of course, we are happy,” Eriksen told InterNews. “There are different things, and you understand that.
“You must always wear masks for example. You usually have the option of being able to leave the hotel to take a walk and do something, but right now you can’t do much, besides eat, sleep, leave the room, train and come back.
“You spend a lot of time in the room and a lot in bed.”
But in the end, the Danish midfielder said the Nerazzurri players are professional and are in Germany to play football.
“That’s why we’re here. If we have come this far, it’s only because we made it on our own.
“If we had lost the first game, we wouldn’t be here. We are footballers, we have won some matches and we have reached the Final.”
Eriksen, who helped Tottenham to the Champions League Final last season, prepares for another European showpiece on Friday.
“I must say that the Champions League Final was great, even if we lost,” he added. “The goal is to make the situation different this year.
“But playing without fans is not the same thing. You miss the supporters; you miss the atmosphere they know how to create in the stadiums.
“The Final will be different, but in the end, there’s a trophy to conquer.”
