Manchester City have reportedly asked about Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, but the Italy international has turned down a move to stay in Turin.

Sky Sport Italia claims the Citizens have returned to the idea of signing the 33-year-old, but the experienced defender has a contract until June 2024 and no intentions of leaving.

City didn’t enter talks with Juventus regarding a move, as Bonucci was adamant he wanted to say at the Allianz Stadium to help new coach Andrea Pirlo.

The former Inter defender returned to Juventus in August 2018, after having spent the 2017-18 season at Milan.

The 33-year-old has four years left on his deal with the Bianconeri, where he has appeared 407 times, won eight Scudetti and three Coppa Italia.
