Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has been approached by Ligue 1 side Rennes, claim France Football.
The centre-back is not part of Andrea Pirlo’s plans in Turin and has been on the verge of an exit for some time, delayed only last summer by the injury to Giorgio Chiellini.
According to France Football, Stade Rennais are in talks with Rugani’s entourage and hope that he will accept a pay cut in exchange for regular playing time.
Rennes have qualified for the Champions League group stage, so are more of a tempting prospect than they would’ve been last year.
The 26-year-old is under contract until June 2024, so could be allowed to go out on loan with option to buy.
He has also been linked with Arsenal, Valencia and Benevento.
