According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Juventus are interested in snapping up Luis Suarez as a free agent from Barcelona.
The striker was told in a very brief telephone call by new coach Ronald Koeman that he is not part of their plans going forward and should find himself another club.
Considering the fact his contract only runs to June 2021 and he earns a huge salary, Barcelona are in negotiations to terminate his deal by mutual consent.
This would allow the 33-year-old to find a new club as a free agent and Juve are one of the few sides who could afford his wage demands.
The Bianconeri are seeking an experienced centre-forward and it would be intriguing to match Suarez up with Cristiano Ronaldo after their many Liga battles.
It would also reunite Suarez with Giorgio Chiellini, who the striker famously bit on the shoulder during a World Cup match.
At 33, Suarez is also younger than the other Juve candidate, Roma forward Edin Dzeko.
He’d be the replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who has also been asked to terminate his contract early by mutual consent.
