Stade Rennais have made an approach for Inter defender Diego Godin, claim le10sport.com in France and Sky Sport Italia.
Rennes are very ambitious and have already attempted to sign Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, who is also wanted by Napoli, Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen.
According to the French and Italian reports, Rennes have asked Inter about Godin’s availability and wage demands.
The Uruguay international had been repeatedly dropped by coach Antonio Conte, but once he got to grips with the three-man defensive system, became a regular in August’s Europa League run to the Final.
The 34-year-old was picked up as a free agent from Atletico Madrid last summer and his contract runs to June 2022.
