There are now multiple reports in Spain and Italy that Suarez has agreed terms with Juventus.

It’ll be a two-year contract worth €10m per season net for the 33-year-old Uruguay international.

The remaining issue is how to walk away from Barcelona, as it seems a contract termination is not going to be the way forward.

Instead, it’s likely Barca will accept a nominal fee similar to the situation with Ivan Rakitic, who moved to Sevilla for just €1.5m.

Suarez is also working to get an Italian passport, which he is entitled to because his wife has Italian ancestors.

However, he must first take an Italian language test and that has been booked for next week.
