Verona and Genoa to swap strikers

Hellas Verona and Genoa are exchanging forwards, with Mariusz Stepinski going to Marassi and Andrea Favilli heading the other way.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is done and down to the final details.

Both moves will be loans with option to buy at the end of the season.

Favilli only scored two goals yesterday in a 2-1 Genoa friendly victory against Carpi and was purchased from Juventus at a total cost of €12m.

The 23-year-old contributed just one goal in 22 appearances last season, between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, largely off the bench.

As for Stepinski, the former Chievo centre-forward is 25 years old and has four senior caps to his name for Poland.

He found the net three times in 21 Serie A games for Verona last term.
