Villarreal have reportedly identified Juventus defender Mattia De Sciglio as the ideal player to replace injured Alberto Moreno.
The 27-year-old full-back, who moved to the Allianz Stadium from Milan in July 2017, could be on his way out this summer and Sky Sport Italia claims Villarreal have stepped forward.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports the La Liga side have contacted the Old Lady and are hoping to bring the former Italy international to the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Villarreal lost Moreno to a serious knee injury during pre-season training and he is expected to have surgery in the coming days.
Coach Unai Emery is therefore looking for a replacement and Villarreal are reportedly in talks with Juventus to study the possibilities of a move for De Sciglio.
