Joaquin Correa scored the only goals when the Biancocelesti secured a win in the friendly against Frosinone on Saturday, and Lazzari felt his team could have done more.

Joaquin Correa scored the only goals when the Biancocelesti secured a win in the friendly against Frosinone on Saturday, and Lazzari felt his team could have done more.

“This match could have ended with more goals, we hit the woodwork and had chances to score,” Lazzari told Lazio Style Channel.

“We must be more clinical, but still have time before the championship. We played well, the result was narrow, but the important thing was to get minutes since we will start again soon.”

Lazzari expected to suffer during the pre-season retreat but vows to be in top shape when the busy championship starts.

“In the retreat you work on your strength, putting kilometres in the legs, it’s normal. We have worked well; you have to suffer at the beginning.

“Today we had great ball possession, they didn’t create much and in two weeks we will be in top shape.

“This year, we will have three competitions, we will play every three days and we need two or three players in each position.

“Those who came on today did very well."
