Genoa have officially announced the arrival of Joel Asoro, who moves from Swansea City on loan with an obligation to buy with conditions.
The 21-year-old, who moved to Swansea from Sunderland in July 2018, returned from loan at FC Groningen in Dutch Eredivisie last season and has signed a three-year contract with the Rossoblu.
The Sweden Under-21 international arrives on loan with an obligation to buy next summer with conditions, after having contributed three goals in 17 appearances for Groningen last term.
“Genoa CFC announce that they have signed Joel Asoro,” a statement on the club’s website read. “The team’s new striker was born in Haninge, Sweden, on April 27, 1999.
“He arrives from Swansea City AFC on loan with an obligation to buy under certain conditions. He signed a deal until June 30, 2023.”
